I Jornadas sobre fauna ibérica, 5 abril: Lince IbéricoI Congress about the Iberian Fauna organized by Spainbirds: Iberian Lynx

En nombre de Spainbirds Nature Tours quiero agradecer a todos aquellos que han mostrado su interés en participar en estas jornadas sobre fauna ibérica (cerca de 300 personas), demostrando que nuestro patrimonio natural también se defiende y se quiere desde las urbes. Gracias por vuestro entusiasmo y apoyo en esta iniciativa. También quiero agradecer a Francisco J. García (Paco García), por la clase magistral que ofreció el pasado viernes 5 de abril. Su capacidad para mantener la atención del numeroso respetable (casi 90 asistentes), y su habilidad para mezclar con inteligencia datos, anécdotas y crítica, convirtió la charla en un ejemplo de compromiso y responsabilidad. 

Hasta la fecha se han celebrado dos de las tres charlas que componen estas primeras jornadas, y como organizadores no creo que hayamos podido elegir mejor a los ponentes. Es un lujo para Spainbirds haber contado con la participación de Paco y Juan Carlos... ya estamos esperando con ansia la próxima sobre oso pardo que impartirá el 21 de junio Guillermo Palomero, presidente de la Fundación Oso Pardo.

On behalf of Spainbirds Nature Tours I would like to thank all people interested to participate in some of the three conferences about Iberian Fauna organized by our company (nearly 300 people!). We are specially grateful to the three experts who are supporting this project, and after the first two talks we can only say that we hadn't had a better speakers. On last friday Francisco J. García (Paco García as he prefered to be called) explained to audience (almost 90 participants) the situation of the most threatened feline in the world, the Iberian Lynx. Although population of this "cat" is growing every year with almost 300 individuals in the wild according to the last census made in 2011, we are still far to guarantee the survival of this captivating species. We are looking forward now for the next conference about the Brown Bear on 21st June. The president of the Brown Bear Foundation (FOP) Guillermo Palomero will be the speaker in this last talk.
