Bisbita campestre en Los Lances
Tawny Pipit at Los Lances beach
As usual in the last years I'm visiting the Strait of Gibraltar area in the hope to see some interesting movements of migrants. Yesterday we had a terrific day recording several hundreds of Honey Buzzards and Black Kites while good numbers of Egyptian Vulture, Short-toed and Booted Eagles were also present. Egyptian Vultures showing different age pattern, Marsh and Montagu's Harrier and a female Long-legged Buzzard were the most interesting highlights, besides flock of Bee-eaters, Pallid Swifts and White Storks have been seen in the last two days. At Los Lances beach interesting movements of Tawny Pipits and Short-toed Larks plus some few waders such as Whimbrel, Kentish Plover and Dunlin. No sign of Dotterels yet!
