An individual of Glossy Ibis at La Janda
I'm still watching the raptor migration at the Strait of Gibraltar. Strong Eastern winds made today to set down the Fundacion Migres counting at Cazalla. This morning at El Algarrobo at least 4000 Honey Buzzards cross southwards but unfortunatly I missed them. Since I arrived into the watchpoint I recorded a young Rüppell's Vulture at the distance and quite a few Booted and Short-toed Eagles. Yesterday at La Janda rice paddies good numbers of juveniles Montagu's Harriers plus around 200 Glossy Ibis. A flock of about 50 Black Kites were seen comming into roost as well as hundreds of Barn Swallows and Yellow Wagtails. A beautiful Sparrowhawk seen at Trafico watchpoint near Tarifa...
wish i was there!
